Welcome Kathy. I also got a lot out of your website when I was first thinking about starting this guitar building thing. Nice to have you here.

Hi Kathy and it is nice to see you! I usually catch you over on that "other" forum! <G> But I like to play in other places too.
I'll second all of the comments here- but you guys guess what? I've gotten to meet Kathy in person! And she's just as cool as you would think she would be.

You can even get her website on CD. I did. And Frank Ford's site too. You never know when the enemy will take down the WWW. I'm prepared.

I read Kathy's entire website before building my first. It's great! Her students are lucky to have such an excellent teacher.

I've spent hours looking at Kathy's website, she is an inspiration to all us hobby builders. She'll be a real bonus to this great forum. Welcome.

Bruce, I bet most of us here could write her Biography for her, we know her so well from her site!

KATHY - it's really great to see you here!

I've known Kathy for years, but despite coming close a couple of times I've never met her in person. Kathy was the "last straw" that convinced me to try building myself. I can never thank you enough that, Kathy!

Welcome aboard! Hope to see you here a bit before school starts and you're drawn to your other "mistress". Or would that be "master"?   Or mister???

Agreed...I've cruised that site and it's just terrific. Welcome Kathy...please enjoy your time here. I'm going to talk it over with a luthier buddy of mine, but I might try start a kit sometime in the next few months.

I had no idea that just by registering I'd be getting all these nice
"hellos"!!! Thanks, everyone, for all the nice things you said
about my site. I appreciate it TONS!!!

Actually, I've been visiting this forum for quite a long time, ever
since Lance first let me know about it. I never registered
because, frankly, I wasn't even aware that you needed to do so
in order to post or reply to anything -- that shows you how
observant I am, huh? (Shame on me -- a teacher not reading
directions!!!) And I've always felt kind of shy, anyway, about
jumping into the conversation, because I'm too awed and
humbled by all of your expertise here. All the tips and ideas I
find here are a big help to me!

I'm going to Healdsburg --- I'll probably get a chance to meet
some of you there, huh? That'll be neat.

Well, gotta go....I really had INTENDED to spend today figuring
out what I'm going to be teaching when school starts (the day
after Healdsburg!)....you know how that goes....

Kathy, you have a cult following here for sure. Thanks for taking time to post all your stuff. A labor of love we know. We all suffer from the luthiersyndrome.

Anyway, you've helped a many with your antidote of information. Good luck at Healdsburg, have fun!

Kathy,
It is so great to "check in" on your site to see what you have been up to during your "building season".
You really have extended your inspiration and teaching skills during your summers and helped us all build better instruments.
Thank you for making all the connections and welcome to OLF.
All the Best!

Wade

Kathy--You may not remember me but I certainly remember the help you gave me back in the last millenium. You were like an oasis in the desert and still are.
Pardon my grammar.
